I work with structure-based models of proteins that reproduce their folding mechanism and functional dynamics from a potential based on the known native structure. I develop contact potentials that incorporate unspecific, redundant or non-native interactions to decrease the required amount of information about the native state. In my work with fully native-centered models I am interested in the mechanisms of topological frustration, the means through which the geometrical factors, highlighted by the model, act to determine the folding pathway.
